The most unique beach of the island is the Red Beach, with the red cliffs going down to the beach, and the most popular one is the Black Beach, with many beach bars, watersport activities and a lot of space for kids to play.

Hiking Santorini

 

Santorini has many trails leading to very beautiful places. The most popular is the one that starts from Fira, goes along the cliffs of the Caldera and ends in Oia after 3,5 hours of easy hiking at a breathtaking scenery. There are also the wine routes of the island that take you to the inland of the island through the vineyards. Another nice path (not easy) is the one that starts from Pyrgos village and ends at the Monastery of Prophet Elias, the highest point of the island.

Villages & Sites

 

The picturesque village of Oia with its famous sunset, the Prehistoric Settlement of Akrotiri, the Red Beach and the lively Fira town are the most significant sites of Santorini. Some other places to explore are the Medieval village of Pyrgos with nice shops and great restaurants, the traditional village of Megalochori and the Amoudi Bay with fish restaurants by the sea.
